After fifteen years of working on big buildings with clients around the country, I'm excited with LAMB to focus on smaller-scale projects such as private residences and commercial spaces in the Pacific Northwest. I'm bringing my experience and interest in design, art, and craft to the foreground while partnering with highly talented builders, makers, and thinkers.
Nathan is a licensed architect in Oregon and Washington and is waiting for a great opportunity and reason to get licensed in California. Hint! Prior to founding LAMB, he worked locally and nationally at Lever Architecture (Portland, OR) and with renowned architect Peter Bohlin (Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, Seattle), known for highly crafted residences and the first series of Apple stores such as the all-glass "cube" in New York.
You: are thinking about an ADU in the backyard, rethinking your entire first floor, or ready to build that modern cabin you've been pondering.
Me: Let's talk permits, timelines, and how we turn your ideas into something real. I've done this before—I can walk you through it.
You: bought that 1920s brick building downtown and need someone who gets excited about exposed timber and the good kind of character (not the "surprise plumbing" kind).
Me: Old masonry buildings are a love of mine. Full-service architecture and interiors with a nimble approach—let's bring your space back to life.
You: are launching a wine bar, boutique, or creative office space and want it to feel like you, not a Pinterest board.
Me: I'll handle space planning, permits, custom furniture, and even your branding if you want. (Natural wine folks get a discount—I see you.)
You: have a project that defies categories. Something unusual. Something that needs a new perspective.
Me: Yes. This is my favorite kind of project. Let's do it.
