Nathan Lambdin's art practice draws from a culmination of experiences that spans skateboarding culture of the late eighties, art school during the nineties and backgrounds in both graphic design and architecture disciplines. Historical precedents such as light and space installation art, minimalist painting, and modernist craft traditions inform his sculptural work in wood and paint. The manipulation of color is a central component and focus of experimentation situated within a broad discourse of both art and design. Nathan’s work references a culture of building and making, including residential architecture, furniture, product design and other elements of the built environment.
   Instead of doing a conventional artist website, my plan is to make a bi-annual printed piece. It's about the same cost as maintaining a website, plus I can hand it out to people in real life!
